Update from a very busy girl! :-)

So I've been meaning to write in forever.. I've just been extremely busy. Last week was the week from hell with no less than 6 deadlines to do in addition to working two days at the firm. I can't wait til I'm done being a student in a little over a month! :)

So the good news is, we are getting a dog!!! yeeeeeey I cannot hide my excitement! I've been wanting to get a dog in forever, and it's just never been a good time as I've basically been all over the place (at least location wise), but now I feel like it's time. I've settled down enough to get a little puppy :) So, It was always clear that it had to be a small dog as we live in an apartment and as (the main reason) I would want to take it with me back home to Norway one day. Ive been talking about pomeranians for suuuch a long time and constantly been sending my boyfriend links on his email with pictures and videos to slowly try and persuade him hahha with half- way results to put it like that. He said yes a couple of times then he ended up (annoyingly) changing his mind as he just really don't like them. :/ And as I guess I have to respect that, we have decided to meet half way and get a chihuahua (believe it or not -that was meeting half way lol). I have never really liked Chihuahuas as I think they look a little alien-ish poor things, but I have learned after living in LA for a while that these dogs can look really different from one another. So the one we are getting (99.9 % - don't wanna jinx it) is a tiny little chihuahua puppy and as cute as one can be. It is called rebeka so we would definitely have to change that name as I already have a Rebe(cc)a in my life ;) We're getting it on Saturday and I am suuper excited about it. And I promise all of you haters hahha I will not be carrying her around in my bag or (especially) not put clothes on it. Mark my words. It is a dog after all and not a human being ;) (If I wanted a baby I would get a baby).

Besides from that it's all about studying as exams are coming up, the only thing fun happening is we got the School Prom on Friday (in which I have still to find a dress... !) But that should be fun! :)

I will give you an update soon about the puppy, Prom and everything else thats going on :)

LA- weather? huuh? whats going on?

So it has been raining non-stop for a couple of days now.. I swear to god the rain is following me everywhere I go! I am technically from the capital of rain in Europe (Bergen, Norway) so it seems like the Gods did not want me to leave the rain lol :P I was in Rajasthan, India a couple of years ago and while in the middle of the desert it started dripping on our cars' front window. Our driver was ecstatic and surprised claiming it had not rained in that region in over 100 years! Yess, of course it will happen while I am there. It is like I should 'like' the rain. I moved twice to London, a city I am not too fond of and the rainy weather made me d.e.p.r.e.s.s.e.d seriously. So no wonder the people in my life were surprised when I decided to move to that city second time around. I don't know what I was doing! Less surprised were my friends when I decided LA was the next city I was gonna conquer.. Cause they all know I looove the sunny weather and the golden beaches! :) I think it does something to people honestly. I have never seen people more sad-grey-looking than Londoners, and I truly think the weather places a huge part in that!   
So, it is to my surprise that I am actually enjoying the rainy drops pouring down in LA at the moment. I'm realizing that not a lot can beat the sound of the rain outside whilst being nice and warm inside 

with litted candles and laying in your loved ones' arms with a good cup of hot chocolate and CRUMBS cupcakes. :) Maybe I just can't fight my roots lol, maybe I do belong in a city of rain after all!? :) But still know for sure that I wouldn't prefer to have the Bergen-weather every day.. when I think about it.. It is hard to beat the feeling of driving with the top down on a sunny day too... :) ☼

So, its been a while...

So, its definitely been a while! wow! I am soo sorry I have not made an appearance in forever lol! Well, I guess I don't even know that anyone even reads my blog lol :p I have decided I am gonna try and write more often so that it doesn't become a mission to actually sit down and write a post about eeeverything thats been going on the last couple weeks/months lol :p 
So what really has happened here in LA lately? hmm.. Well, I got a new job! Sort of at least.. Its an internship where I work twice a week (that might lead to a job one day) :) Its an intellectual property Law firm here in Hollywood, so perfect location for me and its exactly the kind of law I would like to work with once I graduate. Plus everyone there are really nice too :) Perfect! :) Besides from that I cant really think of anything else thats been going on.. Its really all about school school school! Nothing too sexy lol:p I can't believe I am graduating in less than two months and that I have my first out of four exams in less than one month! *Yikes*! I have better get back to my books right now. Have to prepare for my evidence class for tonight.. Zzzz Gotta love student life lol :p

Update from a Busy week! :)

Helloo guys!! 

So to start with, I am at the Casbah café again (in Silverlake, Hollywood) as we haven't set up internet in our new apartment yet, AND Sayid from Lost is sitting right next to me!! :) I absolutely LOVE him, but I'm playing it cool heheh;) And he is even more gorgeous in real life, my god!! (Its actually REALLY difficult to 'keep it cool' this time as I am about to drown into his gorgeous brown eyes... aaahh <3 heheh ;) I want to take a picture with him, I know that would be cool to have, but that just seems too silly so instead here you go....

Soo, besides from getting ALL distracted by 'Sayid' I've had a very busy week! It started with President Obama visiting my school! It was just such an amazing experience, and we were at the best location to see the president! Its strange to think of, when you know that you are experiencing something that special - that you know you will never forget as long as you live.. It's amazing though how such a 'performance' of the president being present somewhere almost turns into this 'religious' experience... the president says something like ' you need to all remember to go and vote' and people are like 'AMEN!!' hahha Americans are funny (no offence) lol ;p although I know where its coming from.. its just such an amazing thing to have such a talented, good man as a president..(finally!) that as well as him being african american..! We were cheering for him at least! with our 'Change for america' billboards hahhah;p gotta love it ;) 

The next day.. was the big day; we were FINALLY moving into our new place. The day had arrived! It took us forever to move everything (but with some good help from Brandons friends, Rob and Charles we made it in the end) :) I absolutely loove our new place, I love how it got a balcony overlooking the hollywood hills, the hollywood walk of fame, capitol records and the church of Scientology(not that I would EVER go there - its sooo absurd hahhaa!!) This morning I tried the gym for the first time, and Oh My God am I out of shape!! HaHa!! I though I was going to die after 5 minutes of running on the treadmill(which was literally walking) hahha ;-O

This week has also been busy as its Halloween week here in the states. Halloween is even bigger here than I imagined! And it is seriously almost for about a month! I was invited to way too many parties than I could go to, and of course I waited til the last minute *Iselin style* to get my Halloween costume! (And my GOD - I thought you were supposed to look scary for Halloween! Man was I wrong! Halloween over here is basically just an opportunity to 'dress like a slut and get away with it'! Not leaving much left to imagination here lol! I went just up the street from my new place to Bizzy b (Beatrice Prochazka's store from the TV show Norske Hollywood fruene (Norwegian Hollywood Housewifes). It was so nice to meet her and to finally visit her lovely store (that is decorated with a lot of norwegian stuff) She had every costume thats out there, and in the end after a lot of trying on and help also from her husband Sean I ended up choosing the Alice in Wonderland costume. (only one that actually covered my butt hahha) That same night we went to the USC Law School Halloween party (also right by my house in Hollywood) and it was Soo much fun to see everyone all dressed up! :) Even Brandon came along dressed up as a (black cesar) hahha that wig was sooo hilarious! I had the best time, although I ended up getting the WORST migraine half way into the party so I had to turn around and head back home.. arr! annoying but it was fun for as long as it lasted :)

Yesterday was another big day. The homecoming game for USC football. As I know nothing about American football (or any sports for that matter) I didnt even know that 'homecoming' was SUCH a big thing- and that it is only once a year! Hahha I know the Americans think I'm crazy for not even knowing this lol;P I went with Brandon, Rebecca and her friends Chris, Ludvig and one other guy (Joe?).. My god I am Soo bad with names(!).. anyway, so we met up at 11 in the morning at USC, and that was really another unforgettable experience! Talk about school spirit!! Thousands and Thousands of people coming together (ALL dressed up in USC clothing.. even the dogs lol) Just absolutely everything had the USC logo on it - tents, chairs, etc :) At 2pm the Law school opened their tailgate (which is basically people coming together to drink and eat (barbeque) before the game started at 5pm. I am amazed that everything for us are free (and for our friends too!) food, drinks and the game ticket! But I guess, as brandon pointed out - I have sort of payed for it.. with that crazy tuition fee everything SHOULD be included I guess.. heehhe:) It was such an amazing experience watching the game, and I was supporting big time! Although we ended up loosing badly to 'the Ducks' Oregon's team.

....update from Hollywood! ;)

ok, so I don't even know if anyone even reads my blog, but if so, I'm sorry about not having blogged in such a long time! Life in LA is wonderful, -but also very busy! 

Right now I am (finally) sitting down..phuuuh! :) I'm at my favorite coffee shop Casbah Café in Silverlake (hollywood) and just ordered myself a hot chai latte and a slice of their (maybe best in the world) cheesecake.. :) I figured it's saturday and I need to treat myself:) The weather is surprisingly not so good, its a little chilly (well still about 23 degrees celcius) but 'cold' enough for everyone around here to put on their winterclothes! hahha :P Apparently it is going to start raining on Monday and it will rain for a week! So much for everybody saying "it NEVER rains in LA".. But actually I have to admit, it feels good putting on a sweater and snuggle up instead of always being all sweaty feeling like you just wanna run home and have the days third shower! (yet, I wouldn't say I prefer the "cold" heheh) 

Soo... what's happened the last couple of days..?*thinking*

I bought myself a new license frame for my car, with the USC name on it and the name of my school, so that was pretty satisfying heheh.. well,  except the fact that when I was going to put it on, I managed to put my keys in the trunk - and closing the trunk!! So, I had no other choice but to call tripple A (AAA).. Soo embarrassing and unnecessary! (soo Legally Blonde hahahha) but it all worked out in the end ;) 

I've been hanging around at my favorite coffee shop a lot recently (studying of course) and although this place is really tiny it seems like this is the place for a lot of celebrities to hang out. I'ts crazy how I see these celebrities ALL the time, and the people I know that have lived here for years never seem to spot them. Hahha I guess all those years of gossip reading and long nights in front of the computer catching up on my shows really payed off in the end! ;) So last week while I was sitting just where I'm sitting now, I looked up and saw Mischa Barton ordering a coffee, and the next day I was sitting here I started talking to this guy that was sitting next to me (that I'd also seen the days before) and he was just asking me tons of questions like what I was reading, where I was from (as he had heard me speaking a 'funny' language on the phone the day before) and when I asked him what he were doing he said that he was just reading through a script cause he was an actor. Silly me just said '..oh youre one of them.. I guess everybody are actors around here*hahhha*' and he was just like..'yeah..'  -Then Rebecca (my friend) comes in and acting all weird*hahhah* :D it turned out this guy I was talking to was in her favorite show (the only one really I've never followed) and she had spent the entire night before watching him on tv! Starstruck as she gets *hahhhhha* ♡ she was 'begging' me to let her ask him for his autograph, and I was like nooooo don't you dare, that is too embarrassing! So she didn't in the end (she managed to fight it off hahhah) but I did see her snatching a photo with her iPhone while 'ordering a coffee' hahaha she is too funny lol:P And by the way, this guy was the black guy playing derek summers in One Tree Hill.. REALLY cute, and Brandon ACTUALLY got a little jealous *wow shock!* ..once I told him about how I had given him Intellectual Property advice and he had asked me to meet him again for some more 'advice giving' haahah :P So what was the lesson learned? I have to watch more tv! hahha ;D

Besides from celebrity spotting, and school work not much is going on. Last weekend I went out to Drais in West Hollywood with my Norwegian friend Stine that lives in Hollywood and Rebecca. We had a blast although we ended up talking forever with some weird guys none of us really understood afterwards why we were talking to! lol:p 

Also, just to shoot in things thats been going on lately, Barack Obama is coming to our school in a week (I think because theres this inauguration of the new USC President going on) But the point is, my Business Law Professor (*love him*) said he might be able to actually let us meet with him! Omg I want to!!! :))

Besides from all of this, one of the reasons why I'm escaping from 'home' right now is that it is completely chaotic there right now!! (more that usual) as we're slowly (but surely) packing up all the stuff. We're moving in a week! And I can't wait!! FINALLY!! Did I tell you guys how amazing the new place is?? Ok, heres the info; So it's in West Hollywood (Sunset and Vine) and the Hollywood stars are on the street of our apartment! Its got a Pool, Jacuzi, barbeque lounge area, gym (that I am very ambitious about using), we got two bathrooms, I got the biggest walk-in closet to myself :D(after much negotiation with brandon.. hahah I actually made him sign a contract lol), two bedrooms.. washer/dryer in the unit.... aaaaaaahhh I can't wait to move!! :)) Here's some pictures I found online from the building! :)

Last night, Brandon and I went to the movies here in Los Feliz (East Hollywood) and saw the social network, and I absolutely loved it! It's funny how all the issues in the movie.. The Napster case etc, is just what I deal with at school everyday! I can't wait to start working with IP, absolutely love it! :)

aahh how I ♥ my school! :D

yet another productive day....and I spent it by the pool at my school! I had to go in soo early this morning cause my class started at 8 and its all the way downtown. I took my car for the first time (driving downtown) today, and I have to admit I was a little nervous.. but once I was driving it was alright. no accidents yet hehhe;p as most of you know I first got my drivers license about a month ago. I didnt start driving a month ago though, it's basically taken me about 7-8 years only because I was never home in Norway for a long enough period of time. So although I know how to drive a car, I'm still a little nervous basically out of lack of experience I guess.. but it went alright! so far.. hehhe;) So today I was by the pool for a couple of hours reading up on my entertainment law for tomorrow and I was just amazed that out of 60.000 (or whatever the number is) of students going to USC, I was again able to have the pool and the sunbed area all to myself! Its just soo amazing:)


I just got back home after driving all the way from my school and up to Hollywood again, (still no accident lol) and now am gonna go to starbucks right up the street to do some more studying... Mmm I can already taste the chai frappuchino... :)
Tonight am going out with some friends, and the plan is Drai's in Hollywood. I've told the girls I'm not staying late cause have a super early class tomorrow too.. but we'll see;)

Back from a great weekend!

San Diego was great! We were staying at an amazingly chic hotel called the andraz (I think thats what it was called).. it was located downtown San Diego.. in the middle of all the bars and clubs. We got there really late on Friday, cause of course we were stuck in traffic forever on our way down.. :/ and on Saturday morning we had to wake up early cause we had to check out a couple of cars for me. In the end I bought a red Mazda Miata Convirtable! Its really cool, and although its used it looks brand new! After we (Finally) got me a car, we hooked up with my friends Stine and Shamaila for a late dinner at the Hard Rock Café... soo good seeing them again! On Sunday I drove my new car (all alone) to Newport in the OC where brandon's dad lives! As some of you knows my driving experience is kind of limited, so I almost panicked when I was gonna sit in the car for the first time..! But in the end it was alright, not really that scary heheh;) We decided to spend the night at brandons dad's place, so we didn't get back to Hollywood until Monday. Luckily I don't have any classes on Mondays, so my week practically starts today.. Today I have one class from 4 to 6 in Business Organizations. A super interesting class, with the coolest professor! :) Gotta get ready now, ttys! xxx ;)
